Gong Relaxation/Meditation

This class will start with a short stretch or breathing exercise to allow the life force energy (prana) to flow. Then the participants will lie down on a mat and get comfortable (blankets and pillows may be used). One or more gongs will be played as you relax and focus on the sound. The sound waves will vibrate every cell of your body bringing you into a spontaneous meditative state, opening blocks, and allowing prana to flow. After the gong plays there is short pause while you deeply relax. If this is a Gong Meditation there will be a meditation before, during, or after the gong is played. Gongs have been used in sound therapy for thousands of years. Many people believe they help reduce stress and increase health and happiness. Enjoy a daily gonging.
