Natural Awakenings Tampa Florida

Enroll Now in Mindful Eating Classes in January!

A four-session course at the Florida Community of Mindfulness applying mindfulness to the experience of eating. This in-person series will explore how to change unwholesome eating habits, using principles of mindfulness. Please join us!

Why do you eat? Where do you “look” in your body to decide if you are really hungry? And how can you change unwholesome eating habits? These four classes will address ways to transform challenges and dilemmas participants face every day, including: Understanding what mindfulness and self-compassion have to do with our eating patterns; learning to listen to our body's wisdom to satisfy our "real" hunger; and transforming our relationship with food into one of ease and delight. We will use the book Mindful Eating by Jan Chozen Bays as our guide for this workshop. This four-week in-person series will be offered on Tuesdays, January 10, 17, 24 and 31 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Instructors will be Nancy Natilson and Katie McFarland, both experienced in nutrition, healthy eating, mindfulness and meditation. In person only at FCM's Tampa Practice Center; online participation is not available. To register, go to our home page, find "Calendar," and click on the Mindful Eating event listed on January 10.
