Letter From the Publisher
Welcome to another beautiful December on the West Coast of Florida and this special issue of Natural Awakenings Tampa Bay. Opportunity abounds this month to celebrate life and to observe special holiday traditions. We recognize the Winter Solstice, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and other special days - and then once again slide into home base on December 31, this time waking next morning to a bright new 2014.
This December issue brings creative inspiration for holiday enjoyment that is completely harmonious with goals of natural health and well being. One of my favorites articles this month is from our Wise Words feature, entitled "Eternal Quest", wherein writer and healing practitioner Eric Nelson highlights exciting insight from Eckhart Tolle on "The Kingdom of Heaven Within". In the opening paragraph he announces, "To listen to Eckhart Tolle is to be reminded that anything is possible - for anyone". That has to resonate with everyone!
I remember so clearly my childhood excitement during the holidays. The seeming miracle of Santa’s arrival on the 25th and the glee my sisters and I felt when tearing into our gifts. Before long we knew that mom and dad had orchestrated those festivities, but the excitement and the spirit of that special time is alive in me to this day.
This heart of winter month is a special time for sharing and empowering one another with love, appreciation, and hope.
