With October’s arrival, Tampa Bay’s chill tropical weather kicks up a notch closer to absolute perfection. Plus, Natural Awakenings Tampa Bay October 2020 is here with further stimulation for mind, body and spirit!

These days, many are finding and reviving inner strengths we may have forgotten we had. As always, deeply felt holistic goals of the natural health community continue to inspire social and personal wellbeing. This month, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Natural Awakenings here in Tampa Bay, a tradition of which I am especially proud. We trust you will find this autumn issue filled to the max with empowering news and views.

Stress is no stranger to many of us these days. Writer Marlaina Donato gets to the heart of the matter in her article, “Calm Down: Taming the Flames of Stress-Related Illness” (page 24). It is truly amazing how stress affects so many levels of wellness; gaining understanding of how to deal with it is a powerful way to go.

It is heartwarming to see the local volunteers and nonprofits stepping forward with healing ways to meet needs in our community. Among its many services, the Feeding Tampa Bay organization’s widening distribution network provides ongoing access to vitamin-rich, fresh and free fruits and vegetables to economically challenged folks throughout Hillsborough and Pinellas counties (FeedingTampaBay.org). In addition to meeting growing human need, such actions build upon much needed infrastructures designed to help now and into the future.

As always, with an open heart and an open mind, please enjoy reading on.
