Natural Awakenings Tampa Florida

Letter From the Publisher

Entering this brand new year brings reflections on the many gifts we enjoy as part of this thriving community of natural health devotees. At this point in time our movement is gaining widespread acceptance and strength, and the future is full of genuine promise.

In this January 2015 issue, Natural Awakenings examines the vast field of systems for rejuvenating and replenishing the natural health and energy innate to our being. That focus fits my new-year-frame-of-mind perfectly. My resolve to get, and stay, in all around good shape (body- mind- and spirit-wise) is stronger with each passing year.

Author Kathleen Barnes’ article entitled "Energy Boosters: Four Ways to Recharge" (page 32) is filled with exceptional insight on a subject close to home for a lot of us. That’d be stress, and how to reduce its negative effects. Barnes highlights some familiar "energy thieves" in existence today and offers really doable suggestions for neutralizing their effects on our healthy progress.

National content editor for Natural Awakenings, S. Alison Chabonais, gives an interview with renowned leader of the self-help movement, Louise Hay, in this month’s Healing Words department (see page 38). In this amazing read, Hayes offers pearls of wisdom for achieving health, happiness and longevity from the unique perspective of her 88 years on our planet.

As always, open your mind and read on.
